Are you looking for a lyf Farrer Park review?

If you want to know a unique place to stay in Singapore, then this honest hotel review will let you know if it’s worth your money. Or, if you’re better off booking other hotels in Singapore instead.

lyf Farrer Park, an art-focused co-living space managed by The Ascott, debuted in May 2022. It’s targeted towards freelancers, professionals who work at home and remote workers.

Is this the best place to stay in Singapore? Let’s find out below.

lyf Farrer Park REVIEW

Ever since there were more relaxed Philippines to Singapore travel requirements, Mirai and I started looking for an accommodation to stay at when we travel internationally for the 1st time this 2022. 🙂

We saw a LOT of Singapore hotels and spent tons of hours just scrolling through and reading thousands of  hotel reviews. Lol.

After looking for the best hotels in Singapore, we decided on lyf Farrer Park Singapore because of 3 reasons:

  1. It’s a co-working hotel with free and stable internet. This is SUPER important to us, since we’re both working online. In the days we stayed at lyf Farrer Park, the wi-fi was consistently working. We even had time to do Netflix marathons~
  2. Since we plan to move around Singapore via public transport, we love that this hotel is super near to bus stations and train stations. Honestly, they’re both IN FRONT of hotel — just a few steps away.
  3. The hotel should be cheaper in Agoda — we went with lyf Farrer Park Singapore because it’s available in Agoda, plus it’s  cheaper when they’re listed there. Actually, it was cheaper when we booked lyf Farrer Park Singapore in Agoda, too! We saved up to $223 USD (₱11,157) for a 6-night stay. That’s a LOT of money, so we were super thankful.

lyf Hotel Price

When we booked our stay with Agoda, our stay at lyf Farrer Park Singapore for 6 nights totaled to $563 USD (₱27,812).

This is already SUPER affordable, considering that it’s a property by Ascott, near to public transport, comes with your own private room and private bathroom and has tons of hotel amenities you can freely use.

If you book directly with the hotel, a 6-night stay will cost you $786 USD (₱39,306) — it’s more expensive.

I’m super grateful that Daniel, the “lyf guard” receptionist, accommodated our request for early check in. We’re supposed to check in at 3 PM but because our flight arrived early, he made sure to prepare our room a few hours in advance.

We got to check in around 12 noon — can you believe it? I was so happy! 🙂

Our awesome room included the following features:

  • 1 queen bed – super comfy and great for our backs
  • Room size: 18 m²/194 ft²
  • City view
  • Non-smoking
  • Shower
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Desk
  • Free access to shared kitchen

I especially LOVE the sink with unlimited organic hand wash, so we could wash our hands every time we come back from our explorations outside. (Plus, the hand wash smells good~)

The hotel also offers free water refills which is so important, since the best cheap activities to do in Singapore are mostly outdoors, and you’d need water to combat the heat.

The hotel has rooms from 5th floor to 19th floor, and I’m so thankful we’re in the 5th floor. This way, the view is high enough, but we still felt safe inside our room. 🙂

Finally, I’d like to praise the hotel’s soundproofing system because it’s definitely effective. As long as your door’s shut and locked, you won’t hear a lot of noise outside so it’s perfect for a restful sleep.

lyf Farrer Park Amenities

What made this hotel a unique place to stay in Singapore? It’s their list of value-for-money amenities, such as:

Co-Working Lounge with Sockets

A lot of Singapore hotels have cramped lounges — there’s no extra space to place your luggage or sit for a while because it’s usually filled with people.

But at lyf Farrer Park, they have a spacious lounge that’s perfect for a co-working environment.

Pro-tip: You can actually sleep here while waiting for your room to be ready. That’s what Mirai and I did. 🙂

Laundry and Washer Room

While Mirai loves to pack tons of pants in her luggage, I believe in packing lightly.

That’s why during our 1-week stay in Singapore, we appreciated that the hotel has a laundromat on-site.

The best part? The amount we paid for our laundry is cheaper than paying for checking in a luggage. Bonus is we got to take home clean clothes, so that’s always a plus.

Gym

Another bonus amenity is the hotel has a gym that you can have 24-hour access to.

Of course, we’re on vacation so we never entered it. The amount of walking we did in Singapore is already more than enough. Don’t you think so too?

Shared Kitchen

Like most hotels in Singapore, lyf Farrer Park doesn’t offer a breakfast buffet. But it has another great amenity that you can use for free — their shared kitchen.

Look at that swanky kitchen, complete with all the tools you need to make yourself a home-cooked meal.

You didn’t even need to feel cramped while cooking inside, since there’s a lot of space you can use.

Relaxing Garden with a View

Finally, here’s the amenity that we both loved at lyf Farrer Park: it’s the hotel’s garden!

It’s a great place to work at home while you’re vacationing in Singapore. Just buy your favorite drink from the hawker center, take it home with you and spend a few hours chilling at the garden and doing your work.

Such pure bliss. 🙂 We’d love to come back to this hotel just because of their cozy garden alone.

Is lyf Farrer Park A Unique Place to Stay in Singapore?

Yes, lyf Farrer Park is a unique place to stay in Singapore because of its co-working ambiance. Its rooms are sparkling clean with comfy beds and great-smelling toiletries.

Plus, we appreciate that the hotel has TONS of amenities such as co-working lounges, nice city views, indoor and outdoor gyms and a relaxing garden. We highly recommend it.

Best Places to Stay in Singapore for Tourists

If it’s possible, we tell all our family and friends to book their places via Agoda because you actually save more (according to my relatives who work in a 5-star hotel).

And you know what? This is actually true, since we experienced it ourselves. Up until now, I still can’t believe we got to save $223 USD (₱11,157) just by booking in Agoda.
